WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival (WSF) will commence in Miami, FL, Friday, February 27, 2015, – Tuesday, March 3, 2015.

The Festival was founded by Jarrod Knowles on October 12, 2014, enabled by three female film–industry enthusiasts, all who united with a common vision – “to inspire the creation and distribution of art, while ultimately enhancing the creative mind.” On December 1st, 2014, WSF began accepting submissions for various films including short films, features, trailers, music videos, and more.

Through networking & social media, WSF quickly sparked the attention of international filmmakers in over 29 countries.  WSF received over 15k youtube views and has gained the support of over 11k film fanatics in less than two months. The enthusiasm and highly energized expectations for this new Film Festival is quite astounding and is expected to keep growing as WSF connects the visual arts community of South Florida to the world.

The WideScreen Film Festival supports the Florida Film incentive program and aims to expand the film industry’s strength and recognition throughout Florida. The president of WSF, Jarrod Knowles, advocated for the Florida Film incentive program, during a rally in Tallahassee, Florida. Knowles said, “The preservation and continuation of visual arts is extremely important to the WideScreen Festival’s executive board. We understand the boundless opportunities afforded by the visual arts and we appreciate the value visual arts bring to the community!”

As tickets are rapidly selling, the WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival has become a highly anticipated event and is proving to be a true success! A portion of the WideScreen Film & Music Video Festival’s proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s: Relay For Life Foundation.
